RANSOME PILOT BURNERS

These pilots are known as Piggyback Pilots and are Venturi style pilots that provide a stable pilot flame in windy and excessive back-pressure environments. Thermocouples enter through the back of the burner head and the thermocouple tip is surrounded by pilot flames emerging through the pilot's welded baffle plate. Because of their high relative output, they can also be used as preheat burners. These pilots can also be equipped with spark electrodes and flame rods. P8SSCA have a wide relatively short flame and is a single coupled burner- the burner head is drilled and tapped to allow for a thermocouple with 7/16"-27 male connection. It also is designed with an air shutter cupped over the venturi end so the pilot flame will not be blown out.

APPLICATION

Pilot burners are small burners used to light large burners when spark ignition or pilot lights are too "cold". Burning constantly or lighted prior to the main burners, they provide a long pointed or short and wide flame pattern depending on the application.

IMPORTANT: Whenever ordering pilots always specify the type of burner it will be used with and the type of gas and pressure to be used. In addition, because flame height is critical for good pilot burner operation and safety, a separate needle valve should always be used in the pilot burner gas supply
line.
